Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade says he feels more comfortable shooting the three pointer this season.

Although Dwayne Wade of the Miami Heat suggested he didn’t work on his three-point shot this offseason, that doesn’t mean the All-Star guard isn’t going to fire up some shots from the perimeter.

In fact, it sounds as if Wade will be more ready than ever to expand his game to the arc as the former Marquette star says he’s feeling more comfortable from outside and plans to implement such into his game.

If this sounds familiar to you, that’s probably because it is. Almost every season it seems as if Dwayne Wade talks about wanting to become a better three-point shooter only to abandon the idea during the season. There’s likely a good reason for doing such considering he’s a career 28 percent shooter from distance.

There’s really not much reason for Wade to be so poor from beyond the arc and it’s likely that he could dramatically improve his ability if he was to focus his energy on the skill. It might actually be something he should stress working on given his age and increasing struggles with injury as he’d be far more safe shooting the rock from deep in comparison to throwing his body around in the paint.

It’s a little difficult to believe Dwyane Wade right now considering we so often hear about his desire to add the three-point shot to his game, so it appears to be more of a wait-and-see situation. If he does start shooting more and actually converts them at an efficient clip though, watch out Eastern Conference as adding such to his game could extend his playing career as well.
