As both teams head into week 7 coming off of big wins, the showdown should be a great matchup. The Broncos let the Jets hang around early before pulling away for an eventual 31-17 victory. For the 49ers, there was an early scare as the St. Louis Rams put up 14 first quarter points. Closing the gap to four before halftime, the 49ers cruised to a 31-17 victory as well.

Looking at the Sunday Night Football matchup between the two, it will be the Broncos prolific offense against the 49ers stingy defense. Here is how Madden 15 sees the matchup playing out:

San Francisco 49ers (21) Denver Broncos (13)

Colin Kaepernick 271 yards 2 touchdowns 1 interception
Peyton Manning 398 yards 1 touchdown 1 interception
Frank Gore 25 carries 133 yards
Demaryius Thomas 14 receptions 164 yards
Michael Crabtree 5 receptions 81 yards 1 touchdown

As it looks, Madden 15 sees a close game between two very contending teams. The Broncos offense once again is shut down by a top notch NFL defense. Colin Kaepernick does just enough to put his 49ers in a position to win.

Looking at the stat lines, Peyton Manning should be expected to go off for a pretty big game, but can’t quite turn all of the yardage into points. Frank Gore does a great job of controlling the ground game for San Francisco and the 49ers outlast Denver on the road.

The matchup on paper figures to be a bit more high scoring than Madden 15 sees it, but if San Francisco is going to come out on top, there is no doubt they will need an impressive defensive effort to do so. With Peyton Manning clicking, they could be in for a world of hurt.

Check back for the Monday Night Football matchup tomorrow night.
