Kobe Bryant doesn’t like it when his teammates screw things up, and considers himself a mentor to his younger Los Angeles Lakers. But the learner became the master last night, when Utah Jazz guard Alec Burks, was fooled by Bryant on a pass that allowed an easy jump shot. A few plays later, Burks decided he wanted to show Bryant he wasn’t a fool himself.
With the caveat that we all know Kobe is a bit older these days, and not quite as nimble, it’s fair to say Bryant probably noticed Burke after this sick crossover move to break Kobe’s ankles (figuratively, of course) and head to the hoop for the easy bucket.
Steps to beating Kobe Bryant, by Alec Burks:
Step 1. Get the ball
Step 2. Crossover on him
Step 3. Get buckets
If only it were this easy, though, but then again, if it were, Kobe wouldn’t be one of the best in the NBA. He might have lost a step, but it’s silly to ever count the ultra-competitive Bryant out of anything.
