However, Revis would make another appearance at the team’s facility on Tuesday, this time to apologize to Patriots coach Bill Belichick for his tardiness, according to the Boston Globe.
It certainly seems like Revis handled the matter in a professional matter with his apology.
The Globe is also reporting that Revis did not expect preferential treatment in regards to his punishment, nor should he have given Belichick’s behavior in the past.
"One source close to Revis said Revis has accepted responsibility for his actions and understands that the team’s rules apply to all players. (…)Belichick didn’t make a big announcement to the rest of the team about sending Revis home, but one source said, “The message was definitely sent. The rules apply to everybody.”Belichick has a history of sending players home for tardiness. In 2009, he sent four players home after that arrived late to the facility during a December snowstorm: Adalius Thomas, Derrick Burgess, Randy Moss, and Gary Guyton."
Revis was back at practice Wednesday, so it appears he has avoided further punishment.
During his first season with the Patriots, Revis has one interception and 23 tackles in seven games.
