A crucial part of the college student experience at a school with big-time sports is camping out. It’s waiting in long lines for tickets and spending unfathomable amounts of time in tents and sleeping bags, with the reward of three hours of sporting action your reward.
Once you are removed from that college atmosphere you cannot imagine doing it, but while you’re there, it doesn’t even seem like a big deal to camp out for days in advance of a key game for your team.
Penn State students are camped out for this weekend’s primetime, Big 10 showdown with the 13th ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. As a reward for their loyalty to the cause, those students received pizzas that were delivered by the Penn State football players themselves. That’s a pretty cool deal.

Add that to the list of rewards for camping out for a big football game. Makes all the sense in the world when you’re doing it, makes very little sense to the rest of us because we like things like sleeping in beds and, you know, inside.
