When somebody mentions the name Anthony Davis there’s a pretty good chance you think of the New Orleans Pelicans basketball phenom.
You probably don’t think of the San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman who goes by the same name. That is, unless you’re on social media and continue to tweet the football playing Anthony Davis believing he’s the basketball playing Anthony Davis.
Ever since the 49ers’ Davis joined Twitter he’s been dealing with fans who think he plays basketball and attempting to set the record straight, the former Rutgers star made it known that he only plays football.
The fact he went and suggested he doesn’t play basketball was fine but then he went with the uppercut and stated he didn’t have the famed unibrow. Ballsy.
Thankfully the younger Anthony Davis who plays for the New Orleans Pelicans and does have a unibrow seems to embrace his unique look and has almost accepted it as his trademark, so I’m guessing the comment won’t draw the ire of the former Kentucky big man.
Still, it might make sense for the San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman to simply change his Twitter handle to something that doesn’t include his name. It won’t impact his followers nor any of his tweets. Or he could keep it and continue to deal with the constant tweets directed at the other Anthony Davis considering nobody is going to listen to his irritated tweet.
