We’ve had our first update to the college football playoffs rankings. No more computers or crazy formulas, just a 12-person committee deciding which four teams belong in the first-ever college football playoff right now.
The first week included Mississippi State, Florida State, Ole Miss and Auburn. After being left out in the initial rankings, TCU was shunned once again even after winning a big game against a Top-25 West Virginia team as Oregon leaped into the top four to join Mississippi State, FSU and Auburn.
This selection committee will select a long-awaited four-team playoff that will pin the country’s No. 1 against the No. 4, and No. 2 against the No. 3 in a one round tournament that will decide the players in the college football championship. Many schools had a legitimate claim at a top four spot, and TCU fans took to Twitter to voice their frustrations.
I can't believe I'm gonna complain about a playoff ranking that still doesn't matter..... but Bama over TCU? Based on what?

By all the logic they claim to use in ranking teams, TCU should be ranked ahead of Bama

#TCU is a better team than #Alabama

Smh these polls hatin' on TCU.

Just a guess, but I bet ESPN talked more about TCU's win over Minnesota than the selection committee did.

How does TCU not get in the top 4?
