The
entered Tuesday night’s contest with the Phoenix Suns with a record of 0-4 and clearly future Hall-of-Fame guard Kobe Bryant is sick of losing already.
That’s why he took matters into his own hands, taking 37 shots in the game. Unfortunately, although Bryant scored 39 points, he made just 14 of those shots (Bryant shot three-of-seven from beyond the arc and eight-of-12 from the free throw line).
The Lakers were competitive throughout the game but the Suns, who were led by Gerald Green (26 points, three rebounds), Markieff Morris (23 points, 10 rebounds, five assists) and Isaiah Thomas (22 points, nine assists, three rebounds, three steals) came away with a 112-106 victory.
Despite the loss, Bryant continued to show how bad he wanted to to win and gave a deadly look when P.J. Tucker hit a game-clinching three-pointer late in the game.
At one, Bryant chased a lose ball and wound up jumping over fans in the front row at Staples Center.
