Todd Gurley will be making his return to the field this Saturday for the Georgia Bulldogs as they take on the Auburn Tigers, making a lot of people in the Peach State very pleased. However, apparently, they want Gurley to do more than just represent them on the football field. They want Gurley to be running things in their state.
As we know, the elections were held across the country last week and some voters in Georgia thought that the best running back in the country also has the potential to be one of the best political figures as well.
According to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy, Gurley actually received some votes in Athens for political office, including some nods for State Senate.
Now of course, there is a solid chance that this was just some sarcasm being distributed by the folks in Athens. Here’s the other side of that, though: With SEC fans, you never know. They could have been dead serious about getting Gurley a seat on the Senate.
