Always entertaining Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee was at it again on Saturday. After Oklahoma Sooners running back Samaje Perine broke a one-week old NCAA rushing record with 427 yards rushing on Saturday, McAfee took to Twitter.
His tweet actually was about the same thing I was thinking at the time I heard the one-week old record had been broken. That record by the way was only a week old. Last week Wisconsin Badgers running back Melvin Gordon ran the ball for 408 yards. on Saturday Perine ran the ball 427 yards.
Some college kid rushed for 427 yards today... I couldn't tell you the last time I ran 427 yards.

Exactly. I don’t remember if I ever ran 427 in my life much less in one game? Alright, yes I’ve run that much in my earlier life, not in a game of course, but to even think what he accomplished is mind boggling.
They say records are meant to be broken but this was crazy. It took only one week for the new record to be broken. Someone did have the thought though, does it really count?
Does Perine breaking the single-game rushing record really count since it was against Kansas?

That might even be funnier than McAfee’s tweet but the fact McAfee was paying attention was great. He has a great sense of humor. He’s always good for a laugh or two no matter if on Twitter or in an interview.
