The Florida State Seminoles are once again in a tight game on Saturday, this time against the Boston College Eagles. In the third quarter the score is 17-17, and the ‘Noles will have to go without linebacker Matthew Thomas the rest of the way.
On the last Boston College scoring drive, the Eagles got 15 yards of help from Matthew Thomas, although Florida State was in no way happy with the help.
Watch in the video below as Thomas comes on full speed at the passer on the play, and right as he should be pulling up, he proceeds to headbutt, which was immediately called on the field.
Now the refereed did give this a review, and it did not take them long to come back and say that it was definitely targeting and that Thomas was disqualified from the game.
This ejection also means that Thomas will miss the final regular season game of the year next week against the rival Florida Gators.
This is simply something that you cannot do, period. That was blatantly obvious and the ejection was more than warranted.
