The murder of Eric Garner at the hands of an NYPD officer has sparked protests all across sports with LeBron James ready to hop on and lead the charge.
LeBron James is ready to protest a death he deems wrong and malicious, and he has a royal audience in which to do so.

If you’re not up on the story, Eric Garner was an unarmed black man who was killed by an NYPD officer who choked him to death after confronting him. It’s not just the murder of Garner that has people up in arms, it’s the video of him screaming that he couldn’t breath that has people enraged.
LeBron James and the Cavaliers are in Brooklyn on Monday night to take on the Nets which is a perfect opportunity for LeBron to protest. He plans on doing it too, telling the NY Daily News that he loved Derrick Rose’s “I Can’t Breathe” shirt from Saturday night and wants to get one.
As confirmed by Stefan Bondy from the New York Daily News, LeBron James is ready to go with his ‘I Can’t Breathe’ shirt he promised to wear.
It’s not just that LeBron is protesting the death of Eric Garner, it’s the fact that he’s been given a royal audience in which to do it in front of. Prince Williams and Duchess Kate Middelton will be in attendance at the Nets game tonight, meaning the issue over police brutality in America is truly about hit hit another level of awareness.
LeBron James may be the best basketball player in the world, but tonight he’s a global ambassador for human rights more so than he’s an ambassador for just a game.
