Colts left Trent Richardson home for personal family issue
By Mike Dyce
Indianapolis Colts running back Trent Richardson didn’t make the trip to New England after missing a walk through because of a personal family issue.
The Indianapolis Colts are headed to Massachusetts to take on the New England Patriots, but will do so without running back Trent Richardson.
The story about why Richardson was left home is void of detail and certainly interesting. It was first reported that Richardson missed the team’s walk through on Saturday without letting the team know.
So it looked like a normal disciplinary reaction, no-show a meeting and get left home. Then there was news that Richardson had a “legit family issue of personal nature” and that is why he missed the walkthrough.
That is a rather vague and wide open statement that could mean any number of things. Certainly we hope everything is alright with Richardson’s family and there is nothing too serious going on.
Fortunately we know that Richardson is fine.
And that his mother did not pass away, thankfully.
Still there is a cloud of mystery over this story and what exactly happened to cause Richardson to miss a conference championship game.
