They released a YouTube video with action from NHL player son the ice, who were wearing cameras. The video contains a slew of NHL stars including some of the biggest names, like the follwing: Patrice Bergeron, Sidney Crosby, Taylor Hall, Patrick Kane, Henrik Lundqvist, TJ Oshie, Alex Ovechkin, Zach Parise, Tuukka Rask, Tyler Seguin, PK Subban and Jonathan Toews.
It unfortunately isn’t video from a real live NHL game, but instead from the players showing off their skills on a rink. It still provides some incredible shots of the NHL action, like players getting around opponents with stunning skills, players showing over their incredible puck handling skills, going around various objects and obstacles.
It shows the perspective of goalies trying to stop shots from multiple players.
It almost makes you wish the NHL could find away to integrate these GoPro cameras into live game action because it is incredible and would really add something remarkable to replays. According to The Verge, GoPro and the NHL are working on it and intend on using GoPro footage during the Skills Competition on Saturday night.
But these videos will have to do for now.
