Marshawn Lynch wasn’t shy of interviews in High School
Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was a bit less shy to the media in high school.
It seems like Marshawn Lynch wasn’t always against talking to the media.
For The Win at USA Today Sports found some old footage of Marshawn Lynch during his high school playing days.
A young Marshawn Lynch was interviewed after having a dominant performance in a game for his high school.
As of late, we’ve come to know Lynch as a very private person and not very open to talking to the media. He has recently been fined for refusing to talk to the media. Since then, he has fulfilled his obligations of talking to the media in reluctant fashion, answering in very short, vague responses.
This post-game interview in high school however, is not the Marshawn Lynch we know and love today.
If the title and the reporters not say Marshawn’s name, you would never have guessed this is today’s Marshawn Lynch of the Seattle Seahawks.
He’s so outgoing and shows so much love for his linemen, even promising to find a way to treat them to Sizzler. No better way to show how you feel about your lineman than that.
It’s good to know that Marshawn wasn’t always against talking to the media, but media in the NFL are very different than a high school sports reporter. Don’t expect to see this side of Marshawn Lynch come out in any NFL interview.
H/T to For The Win at USA Today Sports for the video.
