An NBA Fashion Show is added to All-Star weekend
By Ernie Padaon
Add an NBA Fashion Show as part of the All Star festivities this weekend.
The All-Star weekend has always been about the different festivities that surround the game. The 3-point contest is going to be amazing this year with the roster that they are going to put out on the court. For years the slam dunk contest was the thing to watch. The celebrity game is always fun to watch and there is the skills competition to check out also.
Now we will be looking at a new type of contest over the weekend. This would be an NBA All-Star All-Style fashion show.
LeBron James’ Springhill Production Company is producing the show. A number of NBA All-Stars will participate in the Fashion Show, like DeMarcus Cousins, James Harden and Klay Thompson. We get to see them in something other than a jersey, shorts and sneakers.

- Round 2: A night out
- Round 3: Attire worn to the game
The judging panel will include TNT’s Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith and the WNBA’s Elena Delle Donne. Which one of these guys will be Simon?
The fashion show will be taped Friday night at New York’s Hammerstein Theater and air Saturday at 6:30 p.m. ET on TNT.
I want to see what Russell Westbrook would bring to the table for the fashion show. We have seen some of his style after the games during the press conferences and it definitely caught our eyes.
He sure likes to bring out color during those press conferences. He had had a number of different outfits that he has brought out in the past that had caught our eyes. It would be interesting to see what style he would have for a fashion show.
How many more things are we going to add for All-Star Weekend? I don’t know how this event will appeal to all of the fans. Will you watch it?
