Foul call adds insult to injury for Virginia Tech’s Ahmed Hill

Virginia Tech guard Ahmed Hill was just trying to take a charge against an oncoming Chris Bolden of Georgia Tech. What he got instead was a knee to the head, followed by a foul.

A foul that was called on him.

The video speaks for itself:

One can only imagine how Hill feels. He was just trying to take one for the team, but he ended up taking one to the face instead. Plus, he got called for a foul!

That’s like having a telephone pole fall on your car and then getting a ticket for being in the telephone pole’s way.

Isn’t the knee to the face punishment enough? You would think so, but the refs politely decided, “nah.”

Even though it’s February, this is pretty much the ultimate “welcome to college basketball” moment for the frshman guard, who will probably think twice about taking a charge against a dunking opponent from now on.

Either that, or he will spend the rest of his college career trying to get his revenge on Bolden. Maybe he will get that opportunity during March Madness. Probably not, but it would be appropriate. What better time to return a knee to the face than the biggest and most-watched college basketball tournament?

At the very least, perhaps the Virginia Tech player will get to put Bolden on a poster of his own.
