Allison Stokke showing us pole vaulting with a GoPro camera will blow your mind

Pole vaulting looks like one of the more exciting of all the track and field sports, however with the speed and height that goes along with it, it also looks like something that you’d only like to imagine what it’s like rather than actually give it a whirl because you’re afraid you’ll break every bone in your body.

Well, thanks to the lovely Allison Stokke and that incredible invention known as the GoPro camera, you can now get a first hand look at what pole vaulting is like, and it’s about as amazing as you’d expect it to be.

Stokke recently took the camera, hit the track and took off on a vault, and as you can see in the video below, it really is a pretty wild ride.

I’ll be the first to admit…Allison Stokkke has a lot more guts than I do, because I still don’t wanna try it. However, I will watch this video again over and over, simply because it’s an amazing piece of footage to watch.

What’s maybe most mesmerizing to watch is exactly how high she gets before she lets go of the pole and drifts to the mat.
