Jordan Brand will be going back to the Space Jam campaign
This coming spring, Jordan Brand would like to invite you to come on and slam, and would further like to welcome you to the jam.

That’s right: Nike is bringing back the “Hare Jordan” campaign, which first took place in 1992 with a series of ads featuring Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny, and eventually culminated in what is inarguably the greatest movie of all time: Space Jam.
If you haven’t seen Space Jam, stop reading, go find it somewhere and watch it. If you have seen Space Jam and didn’t like it, you also need to stop reading, and check yourself into some sort of mental institution, because you are clearly insane and I have no time for you.
The rest of you know how magical that movie was and is. It’s simple math, really: when you multiply Michael Jordan times Looney Tunes times Bill Murray, you get the highest number of all time.
Speaking of simple math and insanity: Space Jam has an inexplicable 35% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. This is an unthinkable injustice that must be rectified immediately.
But back to the announcement, Nike is bringing back the iconic campaign, which began with a Super Bowl ad in 1992, in honor of Air Jordan’s 30th anniversary. Video of the ad is below:
And here’s a scene from Space Jam, for good measure (and for you good-for-nothings who haven’t seen it):
In addition to being the 30th anniversary of Air Jordans, it’s the 20th anniversary of Space Jam, so this early news is promising. There were rumors of a Space Jam sequel featuring LeBron James a while back, but those never came to fruition, though we did get a live reading of Space Jam featuring Blake Griffin, thanks to Funny or Die.
In summation: Everybody get up. It’s time to slam now. We’ve got a real jam going now. Welcome to the Space Jam.
