Levi’s Stadium webcam gets scary up-close visit from a crow
By Dylan Hughes
As the Levi’s Stadium field gets converted into a football field, a webcam over-watching the process gets a visit from a curious crow.
The San Jose Sharks will be hosting the Los Angeles Kings later this month in Levi’s Stadium, the home of the San Francisco 49ers. The NHL decided to put a webcam high up in the stadium so fans could see the football field’s transformation into a hockey rink.
Fans watching at the time got a pleasant–or not so pleasant–surprise as the field progresses into a rink below.
The crow was clearly confused on what the webcam was and why it was there, staring and squawking at it for several seconds until the camera moves and scares the bird away.
If they were any hardcore fans watching at the time, they were surely surprised to see the dark black bird scoot into the camera’s view. We are lucky the crow was only a little curious and later scared of the webcam, otherwise a peck or two could have cracked the lens or knocked it off its perch (see what I did there?).
While the bird may be hideous to look at, it did provide some good entertainment for the short time it starred on camera.
