Kenny Smith receives a scooter for 50th birthday (Video)

Because the crew on TNT is the wackiest bunch of them all, they decided to one-up themselves for Kenny Smith’s birthday.
Thursday night wasn’t the biggest night in the NBA. Only two games were on the docket – the Oklahoma City Thunder traveling to Chicago to take on the injured Bulls, and the Portland Trail Blazers hosting the Dallas Mavericks.

The Association also had the buzz surrounding Russell Westbrook’s crazy four-game triple-double stretch, but aside from that, there wasn’t much happening.
I guess that’s why those crazy fellas at Inside the NBA over at TNT decided to all-out tonight.
Kenny Smith turned the big 50 today, on March 6, so his boys decided to throw out the proper gift to their guy.
Only a mobility scooter could suffice for the special occasion.
Of course, as predictable as ever, Shaquille O’Neal decided to be the ring leader in test driving the old-man mobile. Even Ernie Johnson decided to ride shotgun, and dirty.
New York Knicks fans from 1994 sure wish Smith needed the mobility scooter during the NBA Finals that season.
One thing is for sure though, to the naked eye this thing doesn’t look like the normal old-person scooter. Is it just me or does it actually move a bit faster than it should for a man Kenny’s ancient age?
