American golfer Bubba Watson, who happens to be the No. 2 golfer in the world, has been a fan favorite in recent years on tour. Whether it’s because of his funny off the course attitude, his pink driver that he smacks over 330 yards consistently or his two green jackets, Watson remains a fan favorite.
In addition to his popularity, he has talent to back it up. Watson has won two Masters in the past three years and it seems he has unconventional ways of training.
Bubba Watson was the The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and after a chipping contest led to actress January Jones smashing pie in the faces of Fallon and Watson, Watson talked a little bit about the main reason he’s won the Masters twice in three years.
Watson said that he ate two burritos a day for 10 days leading up to the Masters at Augusta National in Georgia.
In 2012, Bubba Watson won his first major, the Masters in an emotional way after he had hit a hook shot from the woods to put it on the green and get the win in a playoff against Louis Oosthuizen. Watson won again in 2014 by three strokes to get his second green jacket and his second major victory.
Now, Watson ranks second in the world and currently sits at second in FedEx Cup points after a win and four top 10 finishes.
Hopefully Watson can keep the whole burrito thing going and win another green jacket in three weeks when the best golf tournament in world starts up again.
