James Harden and Gregg Popovich talk about their beards (Video)

Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden and San Antonio Spurs coach Greg Popovich shared a few laughs about their beards on Wednesday.

The two took some time to compare their outstanding facial hair during a break in the action of Wednesday night’s Houston Rockets-San Antonio Spurs contest.

Well, you know what they say: real recognizes real. However, as great as Popovich’s beard is, Harden’s is undoubtedly much better. I mean, he’s nicknamed “The Beard” for a reason. The thing is spectacular.

It’s cool to see Popovich and Harden share this light moment, though. Wednesday’s contest is absolutely crucial for playoff seeding and guys are usually all-business this time of year.

The Rockets entered the contest with a stellar 53-24 record and in sole possession of the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference. On the other hand, the Spurs are 52-26 and in sixth place, yet only 1.5 games behind the Rockets.

If San Antonio can come away with a big win tonight, they’ll improbably have a great shot at making a run at top-four seed, perhaps even the No. 2 seed.
