The Kansas City Royals are coming under heavy criticism over the food being served at their stadium

The Kansas City Royals, along with the food vendor in the stadium, Aramark, are all over social media for all the wrong reasons. The $1 hot dogs being sold in the stadium have been slated due to how unhealthy they look. Region 8 News took to social media to give everyone a look at some of the pictures taken of the questionable food.

A picture can’t lie and those dogs look absolutely wretched! A fan speaking with Chris Oberholtz and Nathan Vickers gave his description on the hot dog that he bought while watching the Royals play.

"“You just couldn’t eat it” – Neal Ross"

Now I don’t know about the rest of you, but when I spend a hard earned dollar on a good ol’ fashioned American hot dog I expect it to be edible! There’s no excuse for the above pictures, even if it’s only a dollar!

If you’re serving thousands of hot dogs over the course of a day, I’m sure it’s very difficult to keep the quality at 100% but the dogs that were allegedly served at the Royal’s game couldn’t have been anywhere near edible.

Aramark claim that they had a food inspector at the stadium and they found no food violations, shocking. The food distributor had this to say about the issue.

"“Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us and we take all guest concerns seriously. During Friday night’s game, where we served 63,000 hot dogs, the Kansas City Health Department was onsite to inspect our buck night hot dog operations and found no violations.”"

The company has been made aware of the photos and as a result are launching a investigation in to the matter. This isn’t the first time MLB food has been brought in to contention, but I dare say nothing will be done about it. It’s just my humble opinion, but it will probably get filed under the ‘it was a dollar, what do you expect’ category.

"“We are aware of the images posted to social media and are in the process of investigating and contacting those guests to get more information. As previously stated, we strive to ensure the food served at Kauffman Stadium is great tasting, of the highest quality and safe to eat.”"
