Even though the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight has been in place for months, tickets for the most hyped boxing event of the year are just now going on sale.

Usually, if tickets for a sporting event were only release a little over a week before the event, it would be a cause for concern.

However when it comes to the showdown between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, there is nothing to worried about as the tickets will be gone in a flash.

The fight between the two has been official since February, but an actual deal between Mayweather Promotions, Top Rank and MGM had never actually been struck.

Well now the three sides and plenty of lawyers in over-priced suits have reached a deal regarding all aspects of the deal including ticket allocation, credentials and other details.

With everything in place, tickets can officially go on sale to the general public. They aren’t going to be cheap either for anyone looking for a seat to watch history be made.

Ticket prices will range from $1,500 to $7,500. With how quick they will probably sell out, the prices for those seats on the secondary market will probably be even more astronomical.

Top Rank chairman Bob Arum said to Yahoo Sports that all they are waiting on is the paperwork and then the tickets will be officially on sale.

"“We resolved all of the issues and now we’re waiting for the paperwork,” Top Rank chairman Bob Arum told Yahoo Sports. “I said on the call that if what we agreed upon is in the paperwork we receive, we will sign it and the tickets will be released.”"

The fight alone is expected to set record numbers as both Mayweather and Pacquiao are both expected to receive $100 million each.

For those watching on pay-per-view, the fight will cost record numbers there as well, with a $99 charge for HD and $89 for standard definition.

The most expensive fight in boxing history is almost here and the tickets are ready to be released to the public.
