During his postgame interview with the media, LeBron James was asked by a reporter to throw Kyrie Irving under the bus while he was sitting right there.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

Getting to the postseason after years of despair was not an easy thing for LeBron James to do when he re-joined the Cleveland Cavaliers this offseason. The Akron-native has been everything the team has asked him to be this season while being very humble.

Usually, you see LeBron very emotional and cocky after wins, in the past, but this season something has changed. LeBron seems to be a very grounded player now that he’s the guy everyone looks up to on the Cavs and that’s a refreshing sight for fans.

However, he couldn’t lead the Cavs past the Chicago Bulls on Friday night as Cleveland was defeated on a buzzer-beater by Derrick Rose.

The loss put the Cavs in the hole two games to one, heading into Game 4. You can’t put blame on any one single player after a loss like this one, but a reporter tried to get LeBron to throw Kyrie Irving under the bus anyways — the point guard was sitting right there when the poor question was asked.

LeBron shook off the question and started to take accountability for his own poor play — something that I would have never thought he would do a couple years ago.

It’s true, though, your point guard should never finish a game with zero assists, but that’s not the reason Cleveland lost. LeBron knows it and so does everyone else. The game ended on a buzzer-beater and everyone who wears a Cavs jersey could have made one more play to change the outcome.

Great answer by LeBron.
