Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett had one interesting way to describe what it’s like playing for Pete Carroll

Many people have used many different ways to describe Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll throughout the years. Most of the time, Carroll is described in a way that makes him seem like one of the most fun coaches to play for on the planet because, well, that’s exactly what he is more or less.

Well, Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett recently had a way to describe Carroll that really no one has ever used before. Actually, someone may have at some point, but never in public like this.

In an interview with 750 The Game, Bennett went out of his way to describe what playing for the Super Bowl-winning coach is like. And basically, it’s as if you have the most famous (fictional) chocolate factory owner in the history of the world guiding you on the football field.

“It’s like playing for Willy Wonka,” Bennett said on 750 The Game in Portland, via the Tacoma News-Tribune. “He’s crazy. He wants to be young. He just is one of those guys who’s always up beat, wants to have a good time, and let’s you be yourself.”

Well, I mean, when you think about it, it’s not all that incorrect. You can definitely see the parallels between Wonka and Carroll, especially with the somewhat eccentric way they both carry themselves. Well, alright, Wonka is eccentric 24/7 while Carroll only lets it out sometimes, but still, it’s not a bad comparison by Bennett here.
