NBA 2K already has Cleveland winning the title.

Well there’s no need to play Game 4 of the NBA Finals tonight. Or Game 5 on Sunday. Or Games 6 and 7 if necessary. Our robot overlords have spoken and awarded the title to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

On the “NBA Today” section of NBA 2K15, the video game has a picture congratulating the Cavs on the title. There’s a shot of LeBron James driving to the hoop, Matthew Dellavedova dribbling up court, and the message “CONGRATULATIONS: 2014-15 NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers,” with a timestamp of June 10, 2015.

Weirdly enough, the game has the proper scores for both Game 1 and Game 3 (there’s no sign of Game 2 anywhere in the mix – another glitch?). Just more proof that we’re still plenty of years away from Skynet taking over. The bots can’t even get a simple Finals matchup right!

As for the series incarnate(not the bizarre three-game sprint NBA 2K15 is all about), Cleveland is up two-games-to-one and has a chance to extend its lead tonight. With all the doom and gloom fallout after Kyrie Irving’s injury and a Game 1 overtime defeat, Cleveland gritted out an overtime win in Game 2 and actually looked dominant in Game 3. Hard to fathom (and maybe this is what’s throwing the cyborg intelligentsia), but Golden State is an awkward-leaning LeBron jumper away from being mired in a three-game hole.

Game 4 tips at 9 p.m. tonight from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. If the series holds to form, it should be another wildly exciting game. This is still any team’s title to claim, no matter what the robot Kreskin tries to sell you on.
