Alvin Gentry can kind of maybe still dunk at 60 (Video)
Warriors assistant coach Alvin Gentry showed players that, at 60 years old, he can still sort of dunk.

Alvin Gentry and the rest of the Golden State Warriors players and coaches were on a high after Sunday night’s win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in game five of the NBA Finals. With a 3-2 lead in the series to their name, there was good reason for that feeling within the Warriors.
Gentry specifically started feeling the adrenaline pumping after the victory. That’s why the 60-year-old current Warriors assistant, future New Orleans Pelicans head coach, tried to show that he could still throw it down:
Even on his second attempt, Gentry did get rim and the ball did go through the bottom of the net. That being said, I don’t think the vault-off-the-back-pad-to-barely-get-to-the-rim dunk is going to be winning the dunk contest anytime soon.
There’s obviously some humor and fun to be had with Gentry’s dunk attempt, as you can see by the players’ reactions in the video. That being said, even dunking with the help of the back-pad at 60 years old is still an admirable feat.
As has been noted on numerous occasions, the Warriors’ ability to stay loose throughout their success this season has largely contributed to their success. Now that Golden State is just one win away from the Larry O’Brien Trophy, it looks like they’re feeling awfully loose. One more Gentry dunk and they may as well be guaranteed a title.
