Chicago Blackhawks get Stanley Cup Champion Coke cans
The Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup on Monday night and they’re now getting their own Coke Zero can.
The Chicago Blackhawks hoisted the Stanley Cup on Monday night. After a 2-0 win in game six of the series against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Blackhawks won by a count of 4-2.
While hoisting the cup is a major deal no matter how many times you do it, Blackhawks fans are getting accustomed to seeing their team in that position. This title is their third since 2010 and their second in the past three seasons. Those three titles also come after not winning the Stanley Cup since 1961.
If you’re basking in the glory of the Blackhawks, though, now is the time to collect the Stanley Cup champions new gear. The latest to be announced is a limited edition commemorative Coke Zero can:
Though I’m no soda can expert, that’s pretty solid as far as commemorative cans go. It’s not too flashy or overdone; it’s simple and as elegant as a Coke Zero can get.
Blackhawks fans undoubtedly are going to be running out of room for Stanley Cup championship swag if they continue this torrid run of winning cups. After waiting for nearly 50 years from 1961 to 2010, though, you can’t really blame fans if they want to remember this time in every way possible.
