Draymond Green got laid out by Iman Shumpert while trying to screen the Cavs guard.

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has a distinct size advantage on Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert. In the second quarter of game 6 of the 2015 NBA Finals, Shumpert made it look like it wasn’t that drastic of a difference at all.

Shumpert was getting put through a series of screens as the Warriors tried to free up Stephen Curry. When he met Green’s screen, he hadn’t let up a bit. The result was Green being sent down hard to the floor:

That’s the type of hit that your one loud friend yells about when you’re playing Madden.

The officials decided to review the play to see if there was a flagrant foul. They decided that it wasn’t, which is good because it’s bogus that they even had to review that at all. Yes, there was a good deal of contact and Green was sent flying. However, it was clearly the result of Shumpert’s momentum, not an intentional act on the part of the Cavs guard.

No matter what the outcome of this series is for the Cavs, though, Shumpert could probably get a spot at the Cleveland Browns‘ minicamp if he can consistently lay the truck stick like that.
