The Golden State Warriors receive the Larry O’Brien Trophy after defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

The Golden State Warriors capped off an incredible season with an NBA Championship. After a tight first four game of the series, which saw them fall to a 2-1 deficit, they won three games in a row to win the championship.

The Warriors won in dominant fashion in Games 5 and 6 to clinch the series as well.

Unfortunately for the Warriors, the win in Game 6 was on the road and they weren’t in front of their hometown crowd. The Warriors will take an NBA Championship however they can get it, their last coming forty years ago in 1975.

Obviously that makes this championship special, regardless of where they won.

And when a team wins an NBA Championship, they of course get a shiny new trophy. Like every sport, the NBA also celebrates with a stage and the commissioner passing off the trophy and the Warriors happily accepted the Larry O’Brien Trophy on Tuesday night.

If you got tired of watching the blow out that was Game 6, you can watch it again below.
