If there was one thing that we learned about the two straight Final Four runs that the Wisconsin Badgers went on, it’s that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was one of the program’s most ardent supporters. He was there for a lot of the success on the court, and he was also there for Sam Dekker on Thursday night as he gets ready to take the next step in his career.
Dekker posted this pic on Friday morning showing that Rodgers was at the event on Thursday in Brooklyn and he seems as if he couldn’t be happier that Sam Dekker is a member of the Houston Rockets now.
Dekker was drafted with the No. 18 overall pick by the Rockets, immediately putting him on a team that can contend for a championship. If all goes well, and assuming the Packers don’t win the Super Bowl next year, Dekker might be able to tell his “big bro” that he has as many professional championship rings as he has.
With how loyal Rodgers seems to Packers sports, though, you have to wonder how Milwaukee Bucks fans feel about seeing him with that Rockets hat on.
