The Cleveland Cavaliers gave Iman Shumpert $40 million, so he updated his hairstyle accordingly.
Iman Shumpert has been a more than solid addition to the Cavaliers roster, and the good times aren’t going to be coming to an end anytime soon. He was acquired from the New York Knicks to be a contributor on more than one contending team the front office put together and that’s why he was handed a new deal this summer.
On Wednesday, Shumpert formally agreed to a four-year, $40 million contract with the Cavaliers that will keep him in town for years to come. Unfortunately, his flattop will not be joining him.
Shumpert celebrated his new $40 million contract by changing up his hairstyle. Gone is the flattop that was growing on us and arrived has — a banzai mop?
Just take a look at whatever the hell this is:
Frankly, Shump can do whatever he wants to. He’s a major cog in the Cavaliers championship machine, and that was proven when the team made him a $10 million per year player. This might mean that J.R. Smith is the odd man out in the future Cavaliers lineup, but that might not be the worst thing in the world.
Then again, if J.R. wants to get a new deal, all he needs to do is get a crazy hairstyle. That’s the easiest thing J.R. Smith has ever been asked to do too.
