This week NASCAR heads to Kentucky for some night racing. Who will be leaving the Quaker State 400 as the latest winner of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Season?

After a wild week of racing at Daytona, NASCAR heads to one its newer tracks for the Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway. The track at Kentucky is a 1.5 mile track that features 267 laps of racing. The first race for the event took place back in 2011.

Last week at Daytona, rain washed away most of the night and the race didn’t end until early Monday morning. What took place, was a demolition derby, that featured one of the most terrifying wrecks in NASCAR history as Austin Dillon went airborne.

As for the race itself, it featured a tremendous battle between Hendrick Motorsports teammates Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson. Ultimately, it was the pole sitter, Earnhardt Jr., who ended up leaving Daytona with another win. For Earnhardt Jr., it was his second win on the season, and he firmly positioned himself up the points standings.

So far in the four races at Kentucky, Brad Keselowski has won twice, and Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth each have one win a piece. Will another team break through this week for this win, or will Keselowski or one of the members of JGR continue to dominate the track?

After a week where high speeds ruled the track, a change in pace comes as speeds average in the 130’s and 140’s at Kentucky, rather than the 190’s to 200’s of the speedway at Daytona. That doesn’t mean it will be any less exciting, as the stretch run begins for “The Chase” and every driver gets more desperate as they begin to take risks.
