Madden 16 covers for all 32 teams
Every summer, National Football League fans go insane for the new Madden game for either Xbox or PlayStation 4. This year, Madden 16 will be no exception. It is almost a rite of passage for football followers and video gamers to go and camp outside of a GameStop before the release, hoping to get a copy or simply waiting like a lunatic for their pre-ordered copy.
For those of us who simply enjoy real football, the best part of Madden being released is seeing the cover. The folks over at EA Sports do a great job of showcasing the cover player, putting some neat artwork into the mix. However, it is kind of a bum deal when your team doesn’t have a cover guy for years on end.
In that vein, graphic artist Matt Steller is looking to solve that problem by creating cover art for each of the 32 teams. Here are some examples, per Bleacher Report. You can see all 32 of them at his Twitter page.
These are epic. Maybe down the line Madden will start producing covers for all 32 teams and give the buyer an option of which player he or she wants on the cover.
This year, the actually cover man is Odell Beckham Jr. of the New York Giants, who enjoyed one of the most prolific rookie seasons in NFL history.
