Why did the WWE fire Hulk Hogan?

The WWE has seemingly cut Hulk Hogan out of the company, removing him from their website. It comes as a sudden and surprising move, making fans wonder what brought it about.

According to a joint report from RadarOnline.com and The National ENQUIRER, Hogan went on a vulgar rant using racial slurs including the n-word and this might be what played a role in his firing. The audio referenced in the report is supposedly part of a legal document for a lawsuit against Gawker over the released clips from a sex tape filmed with Heather Clem, the wife of his former friend and radio host.

“I guess we’re all a little racist,” Hogan reportedly tells Clem on the tape.

He then bizarrely and oddly turns his attention to his daughter and her dating habits.

“She is making some real bad decisions now,” Hulk said. “My daughter Brooke jumped sides on me. I spent $2-3 million on her music career, I’ve done everything like a jackass for her.”

Hogan admittedly spurned his daughter switched sides in the divorce presumably, but he focuses on how her career in music was financed. Particularly that a black man was trying to fund her career.

“I don’t know if Brooke was f*cking the black guy’s son,” Hulk said. “I mean, I don’t have double standards. I mean, I am a racist, to a point, f*cking n*ggers. But then when it comes to nice people and sh*t, and whatever.”

Hulk wasn’t done.

“I mean, I’d rather if she was going to f*ck some n*gger, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall n*gger worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player!

“I guess we’re all a little racist. Fucking n*gger.”

The audio of that has yet to surface, but there is also another video of Hogan freely using the n-word out on the internet as well. The Daily Beast speculated that it was this audio, and not the alleged transcribed quotes above, that prompted his firing.

The ENQUIRER says that the WWE issued them a statement confirming Hogan’s firing, while adding: “WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide.”
