Drake uses Blue Jays’ World Series win over Phillies to troll Meek Mill

Rapper Drake used the Toronto Blue Jays 1993 World Series win over the Philadelphia Phillies to troll Meek Mill.

Drake has dropped a new diss track aimed at Meek Mill titled “Back to Back.” Meek Mill claimed in a Twitter rant that Drake uses ghostwritten lyrics, leading to Drake’s diss tracks in response.

And the creativity Drake is using to come at Meek Mill might put to bed any rumors about him needing a ghostwriter.

The second track is titled “Back to Back,” which ar first glance could be a reference to the fact that he has released two diss tracks and the one Meek Mill allegedly told Funk Flex he’d drop never came.

It also goes a bit deeper than that. The artwork that Drake used with the track is a picture of Toronto Blue Jays legend Joe Carter celebrating a walk-off home run that lifted the Jays over the Philadelphia Phillies the 1993 World Series.

That 1993 series was the second of back-to-back championships for the Blue Jays, and Drake is from Toronto, while Meek Mill is from Philadelphia.

Get it? That is some next level and deep trolling that is the stuff of legends. This has set the bar so high that anything Meek Mill does in response will never live up to “Back to Back.”
