LaMarcus Aldridge was arguably the top target that was a feasible option in NBA free agency this summer. Ultimately, he chose to return to his home state of Texas and sign with the San Antonio Spurs. As he laces up his sneakers in San Antonio, he’ll be living in his new home in Dallas.

Apparently those sneakers are going to be getting their own home soon. In an interview with SLAM Magazine, Aldridge said that he’s already filled up a big closet with shoes and is in the process of building his shoes their own house on his property:

We’ve seen before that NBA players can acquire a pretty extensive shoe collection over their careers through endorsements and through their own purchasing. However, building your shoes their own house is taking things to a whole other level. How do you even go about telling a contractor that you want to add a guest house for your shoes?

If I’ve ever wanted anything in life, it’s for the Spurs video department to film Gregg Popovich visiting Aldridge’s sneaker house whenever it’s completed. In terms of priceless reactions, there’s nothing that could top the results of that happening.
