The Minnesota Vikings used the 11th-overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft on Michigan State Spartans cornerback Trae Waynes. Waynes is penciled in to play a major role in Minnesota’s secondary from the beginning, perhaps even starting. Yet, the extremely early returns – like the first half of a preseason game – are showing Waynes has some work to do.
Most people lauded the pick of Waynes, but already the bandwagon is emptying. Why? Because the rookie has allowed a couple of pass completions against the Pittsburgh Steelers and third-string quarterback Landry Jones. However, it wasn’t until Waynes committed a pass interference penalty that Twitter became unhinged. Let’s look at the massive amount of overreaction, shall we?
Every college tape I saw of Trae Waynes he couldn't keep his hands off WRs. I knew he'd struggle with the NFL's rules. Easy evaluation.

Trae Waynes might lead the NFL in pass interference this year

"@mrcarter_35: have you noticed Trae Waynes getting worked in off man? Hips are horrible"» don't say I didn't warn you folks.

Lot of grabbing from Trae Waynes early...which is exactly how he covered at Michigan State.

Hopefully Trae Waynes doesn’t end up with Justin Gilbert syndrome #Vikings

Here’s the best of the night:
Trae Waynes is pure trash

Thanks for clearing that up! Welcome to the NFL, Trae.
