Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside is preparing for an important 2015-2016 NBA regular season to prove that his 2014 breakout was not a fluke.
On Monday morning, the lanky center took to Instagram to show off his incredible length.
With measurements of 7’0″ and 265 pounds, Whiteside certainly has the build to be one of the NBA’s most dominating big men. A sentiment that Whiteside alluded to with his caption of “I don’t think people realize how big I am.”
After being selected by the Sacramento Kings in the second round of the 2010 NBA Draft, Whiteside saw limited playing time with the team, and only appeared in 19 games during his first two seasons in the NBA. It was not until the 2014-2015 NBA regular season that Whiteside not only saw regular action but became a force while playing with the Miami Heat.
With the Heat last season, Whiteside appeared in 48 games, starting in 32 of them. He averaged 23.8 minutes per game, to go along with 11.8 points, 10 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per contest.
Whiteside is out to prove this season that size still does matter in the NBA.
