Report: Dez Bryant suffers broken foot, out 4-6 weeks
By Josh Hill
The Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Giants in dramatic fashion, but they lost a huge piece of their offense.
Dez Bryant inked a massive contract this offseason to stay in Dallas with the Cowboys, but he didn’t last a full game before breaking down.
In the fourth quarter of the Cowboys thrilling 27-26 win over the New York Giants on Sunday night, Bryant left the game with a foot injury that turned out to be way more serious than it seemed at first.
Jerry Jones spoke to reporters after the win and confirmed that Bryant had a broken foot and would miss the next month of action at the very least.
This is a huge blow for the Cowboys, but if you didn’t notice on their final drive of the game, the team came back from behind in under a minute to win the game without Dez on the field or part of the action.
Fans in Dallas can lean on that one tonight, but they need to remember that not everyone is the dumpster fire that the Gants are, and not all defenses are going to cower and go out with a whimper like New York did on Sunday night. Losing Dez is going to be a devastating blow to the Cowboys offense, but it’s not a fatal one.
If you own Dez on your fantasy team though, that might be a different story as you’d better have a pretty decent contingency plan in place for ht next four to six weeks.
