Swaggy P will henceforth be known as Nicholas Young
There is a current Los Angeles Lakers guard who has kept the NBA entertained for years. He has done things like saying he didn’t have tattoos on his right arm because that arm is “strictly for getting buckets” and getting engaged to a female hip-hop star. This Laker is, of course, the infallible Swaggy P, also known as Nick Young.
As the Lakers gathered for media day on Monday, though, it turns out that Young may not want to go by “Nick” any more. Apparently getting ready to walk down the aisle with Iggy Azalea changes a man and forces him to mature, because Young told the media that he wants to go by “Nicholas” this season:
Nick Young: "I'm Nicholas this season. Call me Nicholas from now on."

Young also added on media day that the world “isn’t ready” for the unification of himself and the returning Metta World Peace in the same locker room:
Nick Young said he's not sure if the locker room is ready for he and Metta World Peace together.

However, the name change itself is a much bigger issue than he and Metta teaming up to cause whatever ruckus they are going to cause. Does the move to the more grown-up “Nicholas” mean that Swaggy P will be gone? Is this the end of an iconic era in NBA: the era of Swaggy P?
Nick Young said he wouldn't legally change his name to Swaggy P. "It's already pretty much my name. No one calls me Nick in the streets."

Whew.
