Stephen Piscotty collides with Peter Bourjos, carted off the field (Video)

There was a scary scene in Pittsburgh tonight as Stephen Piscotty and Peter Bourjos collided while going for the ball
Sometimes we have some scary accidents in the game of baseball, and we had one of these instances on Monday nigt unfortunately in the game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates.
With the Pirates up to bat, a fly ball was hit into the outfield and both Stephen Piscotty and Peter Bourjos were headed for it. Well, the communication got hung up somewhere, because the two collided as they were in the act. Sadly, the injury was a lot worse for Piscotty than it was for Bourjos.
Following the play, after Piscotty was attended to, he was carted off the field. However, he was able to give the thumbs up to the crowd, which is always a good sign.
You hate to see this happen in the game nearly every year, but sadly, it is a part of baseball from time to time. Players get hung up out there and lose concentration for a split second. Hopefully, Piscotty comes out of this all right.
