Heathrow Airport trolls Joe Philbin, Dolphins
By Josh Hill
The Dolphins got smoked in London by the New York Jets, and the trolling of Miami went international afterwards.
When the Miami Dolphins headed over to London to take on the New York Jets, they knew they needed a win to both get back into the race in the AFC East and to start saving jobs on the coaching staff. In true Dolphins fashion, the team mailed it in overseas and failed to snap their losing streak — which is now resting at three games heading into a bye week.
The question now is who will be the head coach when the Dolphins come out on the other side of that bye week, as it’s looking like Joe Philbin might end up getting fired. He has a job for now, but he’s not looking good for his future. Just about everyone thinks he’s going to be looking for work before the season hits its halfway point, fans both here and abroad.
To add insult to injury, Heathrow Airport offered up a parting shot as the Dolphins prepared to leave for America:
This is pretty much the final straw. It’s bad enough to get blown away by divisional opponents in back-to-back weeks, but it’s another thing to get trolled by an airport.
You know it’s bad when an airport in another country on another continent knows enough about how bad you are that they troll you on the way out the door.
