Highlights and results from Chad Gable and Jason Jordan vs Baron Corbin and Rhyno at NXT Takeover: Respect

Chad Gable and Jason Jordan have really gelled since joining forces as a tag team, but their semifinal matchup in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic was a formidable one. Gable and Jordan were up against two monstrous men in Baron Corbin and Rhyno. They were ready, willing, and (G)able to take on the challenge, though.

Jordan and Corbin started the action and Jordan attempted to gain the early advantage by using his technical wrestling ability, but Corbin answered with his brute strength. After jostling for position, Corbin tagged in Rhyno and Jordan again tried to use technical wrestling to his advantage, successfully this time.

Gable then got the tag and tried for a pin, but that only gave Rhyno the room to take control of the match with his veteran savvy. Gable continued to fight back, though, and was able to get to Jordan without taking too much damage at the hands of the Man Beast. That eventually led to Jordan coming back in and showing off his amateur wrestling background and power:

Jordan tagged Gable back in soon after and they teamed up for a double-suplex into a bridging pin that was absolutely gorgeous:

Rhyno kicked out from that pin and then Gable took the veteran to the ropes for a wicked armbar overtop the ropes. That backfired after he broke the hold and Rhyno hit him down onto the floor and tagged in Corbin. This put Gable in real trouble as the two behemoths began to wear down the former Olympic wrestler.

After wearing Gable down and after Corbin hit him with a Big Boot, Rhyno then went for a high-risk move from the top rope, but fell flat. That led to Jordan and Corbin getting the hot tag and Jordan absolutely clearing the ring. Then things got hectic:

Jordan tagged in Gable, but Corbin hit Jordan and then took down Gable with a monster slam. Then Gable recovered for a beautiful Chaos Theory Suplex on the much larger Corbin:

However, Gable’s run only lasted so long as Corbin caught Gable coming off of the ropes and hit him with the End of Days for the win:
