Texas A&M’s match-up against South Carolina will future a special blacked out uniform with matching light-up helmet.

Back in August we got word that Texas A&M and Adidas were teaming up on Halloween for a special edition blacked out uniform. But now as the special Halloween game comes closer and closer, a couple of images and videos have been floating around social media showcasing the awesome light up helmets.

At first glance the helmets appear to be all black, but when exposed to flash the Texas A&M logo in all its golden splendor shines through. Check out some of the photos going around twitter below.

"Centered around an all-black theme for Halloween, the Aggie Nights Primeknit alternate uniform features Texas A&M’s “Lone Star Logo” clear-coated seamlessly into the black satin finish of a HydroSkin® helmet from Hydro Graphics Inc. (HGI). This innovative helmet features all-new reflective technology to light up the night."

You may not notice it at first glance but pay attention to any sports game in any given stadium at night and you’ll notice literally dozens of individual flashes from cameras going off right and left. We’re sure that from now until game-time in two weeks fans will be well aware of these special helmets and when they make their way onto the field, flashes will be going off right and left.

A small part of us is disappointed that they haven’t stuffed the helmets with tiny battery packs and LED’s. Just imagine during a third down and nine when for some reason Texas A&M decides to go for a first down suddenly all the helmets start flashing wildly. It would certainly throw South Carolina’s defense off.
