On Sunday afternoon, Seattle Seahawks receiver and special teams ace Ricardo Lockette sustained one of the scariest injuries we have seen in years during a National Football League game. Lockette, who was a gunner in special teams coverage, lowered his head and was hit by a Dallas Cowboys player, rendering Lockette motionless.

Lockette was on the field for several minutes without movement while being attended to by a hoard of medical personnel. During this terrifying time, Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant decided to do this:

It’s obvious that Bryant yelled “that’s what you fuc**ng get” at somebody on the Seahawks. It is hard to see Bryant being any more oblivious that he is in this moment. This is clearly a young man who has no clue about the severity of the situation. On the flip side, if he does understand the gravity of what Lockette was facing in that moment, then he is nothing short of a madman.

It is unclear who Bryant was screaming at and why he was being that insensitive during an emotional time for the Seahawks team, but the idea that anyone could be so clueless is amazing. It looks like Seahawks’ Bruce Irvin was the target of Bryant’s ire.

Fortunately, Lockette was able to move his arms and hands while he was being carted off the field and it has been widely reported that Lockette had movement in all of his extremities shortly afterward.

In the final analysis, this is a terrible, terrible look for a player who already has myriad of images problems.

UPDATE: As we suspected, Bryant wasn’t directing this tirade at Lockette and said as much on Twitter.
