We are headed to the official midway point of the National Football League season. There are eight weeks behind and eight ahead, with Week 9 staring us right in the face.
Through the first two months, we have seen some pretty shocking performances out of the likes of Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck, Andy Dalton and Derek Carr. On the negative end of the spectrum, Manning appears to be ready for the rocking chair, and Luck has been nothing short of injured and awful. The two will meet at Lucas Oil Stadium this week.
Then there are the success stories. Dalton has been getting bashed for years as a quarterback who could never evolve (or get the job done in a big spot). In 2015, Dalton has the Bengals at 7-0 and looking like a championship contender, having already beaten the Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers. Carr is driving the Oakland Raiders to a 4-3 record with 15 touchdowns and three interceptions, showing Oakland has finally found a franchise quarterback.
Unfortunately, we also have Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick has actually been benched in the first season of a six-year, $126 million in favor of ⦠Blaine Gabbert. Good night, Colin!
