Browns at Bengals: Full highlights and final score
The Cincinnati Bengals ran their record to 8-0 on Thursday Night Football, beating their interstate-rival Cleveland Browns, 31-10, at Paul Brown Stadium. Cincinnati has completed the first half without a loss for the first time in franchise history, and organization that dates back to 1968.
Cincinnati pulled away in the second half, scoring 21 unanswered points behind the right arm of Andy Dalton and a suffocating defense. Cleveland quarterback Johnny Manziel was running for his life most of the night, completing only 15-of-33 throws for 168 yards and a touchdown, while being sacked three times.
Highlights
Three Stars
1. Tyler Eifert
Eifert leads the National Football League with nine receiving touchdowns in 2015. Eifert caught five passes for 53 yards, and cashing in three of those receptions for six points. Eifert is proving to be one of the most dangerous red zone targets in the league.
2. Andy Dalton
Dalton is showing that he is really becoming an elite player. In his fifth season, Dalton has shown terrific presence and command of the field. Against Cleveland, Dalton completed 21-of-27 for 239 yards and three touchdowns without and interception.
3. Carlos Dunlap
Dunlap had a pair of sacks in the win and was all over the Cleveland backfield throughout the evening. Last year, Cincinnati had the worst pass rush in the game. This year, the defensive line has been a monster group, led by Geno Atkins and Dunlap.
Odds
Cincinnati was favored by 12.5 points but still managed to cover the spread against an overwhelmed Cleveland squad.
Next Week
The Bengals will be playing host to the Houston Texans while the Browns travel to play the Pittsburgh Steelers.
